Congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. Spector

What a wonderful wedding and the Chuppah was decorated beautifully by our florist and the bride's family. This was a traditional Jewish wedding with a lot of personal flair from the bride and groom.

Yes! That is real smoke coming out of the groom's cake! What fun, everyone had black tongues though. The perils of a UT Smoker Cake in black fondant.

The chartreuse green was a nice compliment to the decor and the grounds. Always wish we could have taken more photos. Congratulations again and thank you for allowing us at Heaven on Earth to be part of your special day.

These literally "Take the Cake"

As a full time wedding venue we always are seeing unusual, elegant and extraordinary wedding cakes. Sometimes we encounter a few that are just too good not to share with our members. We will be doing a complete blog post on the history and recent resurgence of the grooms cake at weddings in the near future. For now we wanted to share a few of our more outstanding and unusual cakes with you.

If you are wondering what is popular or what the current trend in wedding cakes is then this may help. Almost all of our cakes are designed by Cakes By Gina here in Houston and all we can say is WOW! You may well share our sentiment once you view these amazing works of confectionary art.

Not to be outdone by the Bride, Grooms have become more creative than the traditional red velvet or chocolate cake.

Now... How do you CUT that?

Groom's cake rivalries! (I apologize for the blur on the "A&M Bonfire" cake, no offense to all my Aggie Friends)

The most important thing to remember is that the cake, either for a bride or a groom, is supposed to be a reflection of your style, passion or hobbies. Let your creativity lead the way when deciding on a wedding cake and chose one that truly reflects YOU. Enjoy!

Lindsey and Phillip were married at Heaven on Earth in an elegant evening wedding, taking advantage of our "Sophisticated Lady" package. Evening weddings are perfectly illuminated this time of year.

Receptions at Heaven on Earth are always festive and this was no exception. The newly wed couple of Mr. and Mrs. Gulley were presented on the "Tiffany" staircase, all eyes watching as they made their descent. The night proved to be to festive for some...

Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. Phillip Gulley!
